The Michigan Foundation for the Blind, through the services of our Vision Rehabilitation Therapist (VRT), provides direct service to individuals in the greater Kalamazoo area.
Our VRT serves individuals and their families who are adjusting to low vision or blindness. Basic kitchen and cooking skills, keyboarding, Braille, money management, writing guides, orientation and mobility are among the skills taught.

Living with Low Vision Workshops:
The Michigan Foundation for the Blind and Visually Impaired collaborates with the WMU Department of Blindness and Low Vision Studies to organize Living with Low Vision Workshops approximately twice a year. Anyone experiencing a vision loss or who know someone who has a vision loss is welcome to attend. The workshops are FREE of charge.
